Easton Chong: 2018 Dreamstarter

It’s our pleasure to introduce you to Easton Chong, a sustanability advocate and one of our fantastic 2018 Dreamstarters!

Dreamstarter is a program that gives away ten $10,000 grants each year to projects led by ten changemaking Native youths like Easton!

His dream is “Watchers and Caretakers of our Aina” (land). He wants to enhance his community’s knowledge of Hawaiian culture through science and help them link traditional Hawaiian practices to contemporary science.

I feel there is a need to reconnect our families to the elements and engage them to take on the responsibilities of conscious, sustainable, good fishers and caretakers,” says Easton.

Please check out his in-depth profile here! And please consider making a giftthat helps Native youth continue to elevate their communities!
